Day 2 - Monday - London

Woke up this morning in a little bit of a rush. Everyone had to get ready and get out of the flat. In that process, I managed to blow up my straightener, yay for me (sarcastic this time).

After we finally were on our way,  we grabbed some authentic cafe breakfast (mcdonalds) and jumped on the underground.

We headed towards hyde park so we could make to our tour on time. Our guide, Thomas, was from ireland and kind of cheeky, as they say here.

I learned a ton of british history, that they have a real problem with the germans and that we, the usa, sent them a statute of george washington, happy revolutionary (or should I say the american rebellion present).

We saw Buckingham Palace, the Royal Guard (you can't mess with them anymore), Big Ben (not really because I learned that's the bell that sits in St Stephens tower), Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and Telfauga Square.

After that, got an authentic plate of fish and chips and english ale for lunch.

Jumped back on the underground to high tailed it to lpk london for my appointment. I love lpk even more now. All the people were absolutely awesome and gave me enough ideas for a longer trip than I'm unfortunately here for.

All that walking really tired us out, so what did we do? Of course find a pub and get a pint. Met some australian friends and tried to answer all their questions about america (I got the one about why michael jackson was no longer on scene, rip michael).

After that it was dinner and home. But if course we needed to experience the nightlife, so we went out. We got quite a bit turned around but finally found a pub. There we met some spaniards which was a whole lost in translation ordeal.

Now that we are home, it's finally bed time. Tomorrow will be so late sleep.

Until tomorrow...
